You Can Make Money From Home And Get Rich Slow

If you have been online you most likely have come across a posting in a forum or classified ad that reveal lots of offers for you to make money from home very quickly and easily, some of them promise you hundreds of dollars a day with just an email account and some easy steps. Even if you open up the newspaper you will find a bunch of make money from home scams which range from stuffing envelopes, data processing to making money with online surveys. Most of these schemes are not legitimate, a majority of them are all scams. You ask how I know this? Because I tried every one of them myself and got burned.

The old scams like pyramid schemes and envelope stuffing have died out, but the online make money from home schemes have replaced them in great quantity. They’re are very enticing, and offer good and easy ways to make money from home with a computer and internet connection. When I was home from school for the summer and had a lot of time on my hands. I was very close to being broke, so making money from home seemed like a good opportunity for me and a solution to my money problems. I replied to one of the job offerings, inquiring about the position and sent them my resume for a review.

I received a reply very quickly, which told me that they have approved me and I would be processing lots of orders from home, all I needed was a valid email address. The company was not very clear on what sort of work I would be doing, which should of triggered my suspicion. It did, but not enough to make me stop reading and get out of the scam. It the only thing I had to do was complete a ten dollar payment to the company through StormPay to verify that I was serious about the business and to cover the cost of my “basic training materials.”

This really should have set off an alarm as it would for most people. Imagine this, you apply for a job at a company, they agree to hire you, but they ask you for a $10 bill first before you can start working. I was still excited about it and I paid the ten dollars. Do you know what I got?, I received a PDF file telling me how to make money off the scam by putting up classifieds, offering the job processing orders, and then receiving money from the opportunity seekers who replied to the posting.

After making threats to the guy who scammed me I finally got a refund for my payment. I also did a search online and found out the scam is pretty well known. I should of known that it was too good to be true as the saying goes. If you are serious about making money from home, you should do your research first. There are so many scams online and offline and you have to watch your back. Never pay money to anyone that is offering you a job or makes outrageous claims about how to make money from home. Remember that there is no get rich quick, if you want to make money from home you have to take it slow and have patience, with time you will reach your goals and achieve financial freedom.

Making Lots Of Money Online - How To Really Make Money Online

The ads are everywhere. "Make a $1000 a day online!". Have you been drawn in by one of these ads to making lots of money online? If you have your not the only one. So is this information true? Can you really make a $1000 a day only working a couple hours? You sure can, but let me explain.

What they neglect to tell you in these ads is that making lots of money online is only possible if you put in work! Before you start making a $1000 a day you're going to have to put in your share.

If it seems to good to be true it probably is. You are not instantly going to be making a $1000 a day. Well, the chances are very slim.

It takes time to make this much money. When I started I made about a $100 my first week, with about 20 hours worth of work. That comes out to $5 a hour. But after about a month of working like that it turned out to be very worth it. Now, I put in maybe an hour a day and make a couple hundred a day. If I put in an extra few hours I could easily make a $1000 a day, but I don't need that much money right now.

So you want to know how to really make money online? Work at it! It is WELL worth it and let me explain to you why.

Now in what other business can you work hard for a short amount of time and be rewared so heavily years, months, or maybe even weeks later? For example: Say I was a VP of a company. I bust my behind for 3 years to get to president and I finally got it! But guess what, I am making more money but WORKING HARDER. With this business I guarantee you if you put in 3 years of work, after that 3 years you will barely ever have to work, maybe an hour a day. The more you put in now the less you have to work for the rest of your life. Just the opposite of most jobs. So you see why this business is worth it?

One other problem is that most make money online programs don't give you the correct information, I would say 99% of them don't. That's why I will provide you with a review page that will direct you in the right direction.

Home Based Affiliate Business-Choosers Can't Be Beggars

Beggars are not choosers, you rationalize, as you log into cPanel to redecorate your website with colorful banners representing ‘Suntan Sally’s magic lotion’ on the one hand, with a bearded gentleman’s yogic injunctions on the other.

Does all this sound a bit too familiar? I was simply narrating what you did last week; in fact, this trend is fast catching up with people of all ages and professions. This is probably because they’re mesmerized by all the buzz about affiliate marketing, and how much it helps in earning thousands. While the latter may be true to an extent, it does depend on how you set about earning your thousands. And the first step is to cut down on the number of affiliate programs, because not only does it help you put in more resources, but it also gives you a chance to ‘weed out the worst’ and opt for the best.

Of course, most people may reason that you must choose programs in sync with your interests, or that you should pick the ones that touch your heart and mind (whatever that means), and so forth. I promise not to torment you with such pedantic advice. All I can say is that every choice depends upon the profit principle, whether or not you appreciate it. It is, therefore, prudent to pick the ones that enhance your earning potential, instead of worrying about personal likes and dislikes; when it comes to business, one has to be objective.

In some cases, you may even choose programs that are totally unrelated to your site content, for instance, casino affiliate programs. Under such circumstances, you cannot design another website all at once, nor can you place a link on your site which, let’s say, deals with cookery, cuisine, and curry. But you can promote the program via bulk-mail marketing and safelists, or if you’re good at conversing with people and convincing them, you may strike a deal with websites which have relevant content in return for certain products or services from your end. This may not be easy, but it’s worth a try, particularly because casinos are amongst the highest-paying affiliate programs. As you can see, one can make money by being smart, and certainly not by wondering whether a program is in tune with one’s interests, and what else not.

So there you are! All you have to do is restrict your programs to a small number, ‘small’ being as subjective a view as any. Next, be honest and ask yourself what you really want. Do you want to be an affiliate marketer for fun, or is it all about money? If it’s the latter, you must try and make compromises with your moral compass, perhaps drop your cross of preferences and focus on profits. The old adage-that beggars are not choosers-may be true. But the new mantra is equally relevant. Choosers can’t be beggars. So choose your affiliate program, but choose wisely.

Plan for an eCommerce Website For Your Home Based Business

Getting set up to create your own internet home based business where you can work from home selling products online can seem like an overwhelming project, but it actually just involves following a proven process mixed in with some creative ingenuity and the discipline to see the project through. We will touch on a few of the most important points in this article. All of this starts with creating a plan of action and then executing.

First you need to figure out what you want to sell. To verify your options, you have to do some research to see if there is a demand for this product or service and whether it is currently being sold successfully online.

Check your local discount stores and large online chains like Amazon to see if they already sell this product. Unless your product has some unique or valuable feature to distinguish it from others, your customers are going to go to big discount stores, or buy online from a large retailer.

After this research is complete, if you are still excited about the opportunity of online business, you will next need to establish your business (choosing your business 'type' - sole proprietorship, partnership, limited liability partnership, corporation, etc.). You will need to choose a business type that gives you the best tax benefit, and the most protection against liability (if your product or service may expose you to legal action).

You will get a Tax ID number when you set up your business. This number allows you to collect state sales tax and establishes your ability to buy products wholesale so you can re-sell these products on your web site.

Next, you will need a business bank account. Some banks require you to wait three months after your business paperwork is filed, before you can open a business account.

Since your business is an online business, you will have to get a 'domain' name. This name is the name of your web site and the 'address' your customers will type into their web browser when they want to visit your site.

You should be prepared with several options and spin-offs of the name you think you want, since your first choice may not be available. If the name is already registered to another business, you will not be able to use it for YOUR web site.

The next item on your list is to find a web host. A web hosting company will store all the files that make up your web site, including a database of information, prices, and content. Some web hosting companies are much cheaper than others. However, you have to look at the features and services your web host will offer before you choose the host that is right for you.

Next, you will need to decide if you are going to design your own web site or hire professionals to do it for you. You can compromise by purchasing web 'templates' from a professional company. With a little training and a little effort, you can learn to update these templates to change or add information to your web site.

Whether you are designing your own web site or hiring professionals, you need to figure out what 'content' you want on your site. Will you have educational information, write articles, provide a description of your services or just sell products?

If you are selling products or services on your web site, you will need some way to accept payments. Make no mistake you MUST provide a method to accept payments on the spot, rather than asking your customer to send a check or money order. If you intend to be recognized as a professional business, you must offer your customers a simple way to order your products.

After you have done all these things, you will need to either stock your product or hire your employees to perform services.

Your web designer (maybe YOU) will have to consider advertising techniques and other methods to get customers to find and buy from your web site.

As you can see, starting an online business is a significant investment in time and effort. Your expenses may not be high, but you do have to put in the planning time and ensure that you have thought through all the aspects of the business.

The bottom line for prospective online business entrepreneurs is to consider the time and effort, the cost and the findings from your research.

Home-Based Businesses: A Clear Picture of the Victories and the Struggles

The notion of having a home-based business has many appealing factors; the first and most obvious is of course working from home, followed by the flexible hours, being a business owner with minimum cash flow and overhead, and the ability to sell a product or service you believe in. All of the appealing factors to having a home-based business have their share of victories and struggles, it’s imperative to be aware of these prior to starting your own home-based business in order to maximize your success.

Working from Home

The Victory(ies): This is easy enough to explain…you’re home. You get up in the morning and instead of putting on a suit, rushing out of the house and driving through traffic to get to work; you stay at home. You walk to your home office carrying your cup of coffee (perhaps still in your pajamas) and begin your day. You save money, can deduct certain items as business expenses that you couldn’t before, and you have more time for your family. Did I mention you can work in your pajamas?

The Struggles: This is also easy enough to explain…you’re home. Perhaps it’s easier to stay in bed then start your day like you would if you had to go into the office. You find yourself with less social contact; it’s easy to become distracted by household chores, the television and your family.

The Solution: It becomes very important once you start to work from home to create, maintain and follow a schedule which will give you a sense of structure throughout your day. Set a time to get up every weekday morning and start work. Know what tasks need to be accomplished (daily and weekly) and have them scheduled and proritized accordingly. Keep yourself accountable to your schedule or enlist the help of others if this is too difficult on your own.

Flexible Hours:

The Victory(ies): Per the previous solution, you will be in control and accountable to your own schedule and will have much greater ability of maintaining flexible hours. The major victory for you in here is that now you can schedule yourself to work when you are the most efficient and energized. Learn when you are most productive throughout the day and schedule yourself to do your work during those times. The flexible hours also make it easier to grocery shop, workout, and run errands (to name a few) during the hours of lesser activity, making accomplishing everything with ease.

The Struggle(s): Your new hours might not match the hours of your friends and family therefore when you’re ready to work, they’re ready to do something else which can be disruptive or a dilemma for you. Having flexible hours might also lead to a path of working many extra hours without you noticing; all of the sudden you find yourself always working.

The Solution: This solution reinforces the utter importance of maintaining a schedule and a to-do list, not only to know what needs to be done and where you need to be but to keep track of the hours you work and how well you maximize the use of your time. As you develop your home-based business (or if you are already in progress with your home-based business) always take the time to review the use of your time and assess the return on investment of your time ensuring your hours are flexible not wasted.

Being a Business Owner with Minimum Initial Investment

The Victory(ies): Getting to call yourself and being a business owner is a victory in itself…being able to do so without a huge investment or monthly cash flow/overhead is even better. You will be provided many of the material required to start your home-based business from the onset by the Company you select, as well as website access, initial inventory and so forth.

The Struggle(s): The minimum amount required to become a home-based business owner varies depending on the product(s) you decide to sell ($100-more then $10,000), the majority of the time the more you can invest the better off you are; to can keep an inventory for your customers, or have a wider selection of products. Also, remember you’re running a business so you must consider the cost of marketing, networking and advertising that is extra to what you will be initially provided.

The Solution: Prior to starting your home-based business take into consideration ALL of the initial cost associated to your business venture. One of the best ways to do this is by writing a business plan and associated financial statements.

Selling a Product/Service You Believe In

The Victory(ies): You can (actually, you need to) choose a product or service you believe in, trust and that has in fact impacted your life. You will feel good being part of spreading the good news about the product and changing other peoples lives or offering them the same opportunities that have been extended to you.

The Struggle(s): You’re ready to sell this wonderful service/product you believe in and then you come to realize you’re not a sales person.

The Solution: Unlike what many people tend to believe a sales person is not born, there are many ways you can learn the necessary skills to sell. Admit your shortfall and seek the advice, assistance, guidance and coaching of those who can teach you all you need to know.

Running an Internet Home Business to Make Money Online

Everyone has different reasons for wanting to work from home. Some would like to stay home with their kids, while others can’t work outside the home for health reasons. Whatever your reasons are, an Internet home business can make money online and provide an income.

Usually, any Internet home business is not going to make any money right away. It will take time and effort to build up your new business to make money online before it will be at all profitable. Regardless of what internet marketers may tell you, you will not be making thousands a week with any Internet home business. Usually those marketers are trying to lure you into their program, that’s why they promise so much.

A Solution to Stay at Home?

There are several options for working at home, and an Internet home business is one of them. The first step will be to decide if you are even capable of working at home to make money online on your own. Are you able to set a work schedule for yourself and more importantly, are you able to stick to that schedule? If you need someone telling you what to do and handing you projects throughout the day, working with your own Internet home business to make money online may not be the best answer for you.

Deciding what exactly you want to do with an Internet home business is your next step. Do you want to start your own business? Or would you rather sell something and be a distributor for that product? There are so many options available to make money online on the internet that it can feel overwhelming just trying to sort out the junk from the real opportunities to make money online. If you decide to work for someone else in an Internet home business, make sure you understand exactly what you are getting into.

Some will require money up front, while others will provide support and help you to get started. If you feel at all uncomfortable with anything they are asking you to provide or do, step back and slow down. If it just doesn’t feel right, don’t do it. Or better yet, check them out online. If they are trouble, someone will have posted their experiences with the company online.

If you plan on an Internet home business of your own, what do you plan to do? Transcription is one job that can easily turn into a good Internet home business. It is something that can be sent through e-mail, and when it is done, you can return it to the customer. An Internet home business of your own will require a lot of groundwork especially since you are laying out the ground floor for yourself and probably won’t have anyone helping you. In other words, to make money online will require a little bit of initial hard work.

An Internet home business is a definite possibility. However, it does take quite a bit of time and effort to find one that fits with what you can and want to do to make money online. Take your time, explore all of your options, and then the real work will start. It is doable, so don’t give up if it takes a little longer than you expected!

Home Business: Did You Show Up For Work Today?

"Eighty percent of success is showing up."

- Woody Allen

In their best selling book "Younger Next Year: A Guide to Living Like 50 Until You're 80 and Beyond", authors Chris Crowley and Henry S. Lodge echo that sentiment as it pertains to health and fitness. Chris often talks about how you have to "show up" for what is required even if retired. If you want to maintain health and fitness, particularly in the later years of life, you have to make the personal commitment and have the personal discipline to show up to perform your required tasks, just as you were required to do during the years that you worked a job.

If you have not worked a job in a long time, but have been successful at a home business, or even a traditional storefront business, you know what I am talking about. If you have are a successful attorney, accountant, doctor, dentist, or any other self-employed individual, you are keenly aware that this concept of showing up for work, even when you are the boss, has been a major contributor to the success you have enjoyed.

I am a network marketer. I AM my own boss. Sunday, my boss told me to get out of bed and do some work...and I complied. As the boss, I was aware that the tasks needed to be done, and as the employee I performed those tasks diligently and to the best of my ability, just as I would have if I was still working in someone else's office.

Before I go further on this topic, I'll answer the question that's on the tip of your tongue. What good is it to be the boss if you still have to work just like in a job?

Well, I get to make the executive decisions, I DO work in my pajamas (every day is dress-down Friday), I start when I feel like it, knock off early if I want to, grab my keys, jump in the Prius and go for a drive, or toss some clothes and a laptop in the car and go to Florida occasionally. I get to take my wife to lunch whenever I want, and I can drink beer with my lunch and not worry about customers or the boss smelling it on my breath. I just told a friend on the phone last night that the next time he was in town, give me a call and I would come over and have lunch with him. I could say that because I am at work right now, and if he calls, I can stop what I am doing and go see him.

Oh yeah, I made a six-figure income last year. That part helps.

But none of that would be part of my life right now if I did not show up for work every day that I am supposed to be there.

This is where so many who are new to network marketing or running a home business or home based internet business make their mistake. They are not aware that they may now be the boss, but they are still the employee as well.

A few years ago, I worked for a huge national business. I trained people who had never worked in the industry before to go out and work virtually independently in a field where they could make a large income. The key was that they had to "show up" for work without any supervision and little guidance. A great many of them failed simply because they could not or would not meet that one very major requirement.

Among the people I taught were several with very little education or intelligence, but those who had a great work ethic, the ones who did show up day after day, were able to take care of themselves and their families better than they ever could have hoped to.

Network marketing and home businesses are like that. They do not run themselves, and things that need to be done do not get done just because the "boss" says, "Make it so, Number One!"

If you want to succeed in network marketing or with your own home business, show up for work.

Paid Surveys - Tips On Taking Paid Surveys

If you're going to try to make a side income from taking paid surveys on the Internet, there are a few things that you're going to want to do in order to get the most out of your efforts. Otherwise, you're just going to end up spinning your wheels and not get anywhere. Trust me on this one. You definitely need a game plan when attacking those surveys.

The first thing you must understand is that you are never going to get rich from taking surveys. They just don't pay enough. You'd have to join more survey sites and take more surveys in a day than are physically possible to make anything even close to a living wage. So get that idea out of your mind right from the start. Paid surveys will give you a side income and that's about it.

The next thing you have to do when taking paid surveys is look for survey sites that pay in cash and cash only. You don't want to bother with sites that pay you in sweepstakes and discounts on products and services unless you're interested in those kind of things. If you're primarily looking to make an income from doing this, you don't want to bother with those sites. You can use sites that pay in points that you can trade in for cash but find out what the exchange rate is on those points. You don't want to waste your time on a survey site that pays only a few dollars for a ridiculous amount of points. You want your hourly pay to come out to at least $5 an hour. You're not going to get much more than that.

The next thing you want to do when taking paid surveys is be honest with your screening questions. These are questions that many sites will ask you before they actually give you a survey to take. The purpose of these screening questions is to find out if you're in the right demographic for the survey they're offering. While this may not seem important, it is. If the survey is targeting women who do most of the food shopping in the house, they don't want to give that survey to the man of the house. So don't lie on the screening question and say you're a woman. Besides, you won't know what the screening is for anyway before taking the survey so you wouldn't know what the "right" answers are anyway. Many people try to fool the system. In other words, they take guesses at what they're looking for. Trust me, this never works and you'll just be wasting your time.

The next thing you want to do when taking a paid survey is actually read all the questions and not just check off a single row. Not all the questions will fall into a certain answer range. If the survey company sees that you're doing this and believe me they'll find out, they will either remove you from the system or they'll stop sending you surveys altogether.

Like I said, you can make a few bucks taking surveys, but the key is to be honest. In the long run, if you're not, they'll find out and you'll lose any chance of making any income at all.

Make Extra Money - Desire Or Ashamed

Everybody is chasing to make extra money nowadays. It seems that their current job does not pay them as much as they want. All those monthly bills like electricity, water, food, education, house rent, car loan and many more have force everyone to make extra money for themselves.

Illegally, most people make extra money just to survive. Some might steal a bread to feed themselves or their love one. Some might have a career of pick pocketing to buy themselves a cup of coffee to keep them warm at night. Some might even rob from a bank just for pleasure to make extra money, talk about easy money.

Whatever you do, try doing your best to make decent extra money. In other words, do it legally. Don’t feel embarrass to do any job that has nothing to do with your degree or status of your job. If you really need to make some extra money to cut your neighbor’s lawn, for god sake just do it. There’s nothing to be ashamed of.

Try thinking the morale of this story. A young engineer who got married with a beautiful wife who is not working. They live happily without having too much trouble paying monthly bills and the husband has no problem providing food on the table. After a year, his wife gave a birth to a beautiful daughter. Unfortunately for him, his wife has to undergone a surgery to delivered the baby since she could not gave a normal birth.

When the time to pay the medical bill, he was shocked as the bill was high that he could not afford it. Before this, he only saved his money just enough to pay for a normal birth. He has no choice but to use his credit card.

Several months has passed, he still haven’t finished paying his credit card bill. To make things even worse, every month he has been charged interest from his credit card. From here onwards, he knew that his current salary will not settle his bills entirely and he started to think to make extra money. He search for any part time job that he could find as long as his debt is settled.

Not to condemn the modern days, but it seems that if your salary is $2,000 per month, you just cannot survive happily. You just need to make more extra money. Your salary is just about enough to pay your bills but what about food, education for your children and their clothes.

There are many part time jobs that you can do. You can work as cashier in supermarket, become bellboy at hotel, work in a fast food restaurant during the night, wash your neighbor’s car during weekend, set up a small stall selling burgers and hot dogs, play piano at night club if you are a pianist, selling drawing that your draw yourself if you are an artist, become a tutor for students at tuition, teaching dancing class at night, and so many, many, many more.

The new and hot trend right now is doing an online business. Many have make extra money selling a product on the Internet. The good thing about this business is, it only needs a little money to set up but the profit is unbelievably huge. You should start thinking to make extra money on the Internet if you want to change your life but make sure you know what you are doing.

Starting A Work at Home Business

Starting a business is practically not at all effortless; making that business beneficial over an extensive period of time is even more difficult. Figures show that around 90% of businesses fail within five years of their creation. Why is this? Because these businesses simply were not designed as well as they should have been. If you desire to start your own work at home business, you will have to lay out adequate plans from the very start.

There is a law that each and every entrepreneur and businessman ought to consider carefully. It's called Murphy's Law, and it chiefly states that everything that can go wrong will go wrong. While this law is not ironclad (which is strange, since they call it a law), it surely makes a conclusive point. Life is inherently serendipitous, and the business sphere is as capricious as any other area. In principle, this means that you should provide for for anything. Within reason, of course.

When you are creating a work at home business, be watchful of becoming too eager about your chances. You ought to be enlightened that the business competition on the internet is just as dog eat dog as the competition off of it. So, you have to try to uncover an upper hand that you can exploit; a competitive point that you can reap rewards from. And you can only fulfil this by way of vigilant planning.

First, simplify your reasoning. From the very start of your venture, try to discover exactly what skills and assets you have to work with. Would you care to sell a product, furnish a service, or advertise? Will you be producing your own services and goods or will you be promoting someone else's? These are all fundamental questions and they must be answered from the beginning. Unless you are extremely clear on what you desire to do, you are prone to get lost along the way.

Second, pinpoint the obstacles that are in your way. There will be numerous ones! This may span from deep individual reasons such as not having adequate time to work, or to industry-wide problems such as product differentiation or renumeration methods. Before you settle on a definite work at home business, be certain to study up on the present trends.

Third, plan in ahead of time what you intend to do to get on top of the obstacles you have come up with. For instance, product differentiation is achieved by modish advertising that everyone can remember. If you don't have adequate time to work at home, you may want to scale back some of your other activities. If you do your own laundry, for illustration, and it takes you a couple of hours to du your laundry your garments, try dropping them off at the laundromat next time. This should save up a few hours of your time. Try to come up with equal obtuse activities that you can outsource, and keep focussed on the job that exclusively you can do.

Sports Arbitrage Trading Review

If you are reading this you must be interested in how people are using sports arbitrage trading to earn and extra income from home. Well as with any home business of any type its not going to be easy, and it will take a little work and effort on your part.

First let me explain to you how arbitrage trading works.

First you have to find ARBS to trade on. You find ARBS when you have two bookmakers that disagree on the same sporting event. Once the ARB has be created you can now place money onto this ARB, and no matter which team loses or wins the game you will come out on top.

Now I know your probably thinking well that’s to easy, and you can win all the time. And you’re correct you wont win 100% of the time but you will win 95% of the time with sports arbitrage trading. The only way that you can lose from doing this is when a bookmaker decides to change his odds right before the game starts. However this doesn’t happen that often.

So how come nobody is doing this to make money? Simply, because nobody really knows much about arbitrage trading, or how to even find the ARBS. The ones that do actually no how to find ARBS still make little profits, because it takes a lot of time to find them.

However you can easily find arbitrage trading guides, and programs that erase finding the ARBS, and do the entire finding for you. All you have to do then is sign up to the bookmakers website, and place your trades.

Working with arbitrage trading the average person can make anywhere from and extra $100 to $1,000 a week working only part time.

Small Home Based Businesses Should Focus On Targeted Customer Service

Question? How many small home based business owners feel that they have to fight hard to keep their heads above water?

The further on you read, you'll begin to understand that for the small home based business today, it’s not so important how hard you fight to stay afloat, as it is how smart you fight to stay afloat.

The fact of the matter is that customer satisfaction is a vital component in smart business management, especially if that business desires to remain buoyant.

Many successful businesses pride themselves upon customer satisfaction.

I find that a crucial aspect of my small home based business is targeted customer service. It involves doing the things that make a difference for my targeted customers.

Managing my time efficiently so that they benefit the most from my efforts. Always fine tuning the strong points of my small home based business for customer satisfaction.

I am cognizant of the fact that staying afloat in turbulent internet seas will hinge on my ability to know who my targeted customer is, and the feedback I can get from that customer.

Question? Do you know who your customer is?

Sounds like an obvious question doesn’t it? This question should have been tackled somewhere along the way when you initially set up your small home based business.

Listen closely. I’m not saying that this question should have been fully answered before you began. I really don't believe that’s possible because of the dynamic nature of business as a whole.

No no. What I am saying is that in most cases this question begins to get answered after you are well submerged in your business.

Indeed, should you feel that you have fully answered this question, try this one on for size.

If you have many streams of products or services bringing in steady revenue for your small home based business, take some time out, study one particular product. Look at that product long and hard and from every conceivable angle.

Dissect it, bisect it, and pull it apart. Find out for yourself who your customers are that purchase this product. Target them. Identify them.

And finally, when every aspect of this product is laid bare, ask yourself two valuable questions.

1. I know that I have a good handle on who my customer base is, but can I extend my reach to embrace other kinds of customers?

2. This next question is so simple, yet so valuable. The flip and tightly focused side of question number one. Am I ignoring different categories of customers?

Only you can honestly answer these questions, since only you know your particular small home based business inside out.

How do you know if what you sell is considered of value to your customers?

Indeed, all small home based business owners feel confident they can answer this one.

Simple. Give them quality.

Make sure that quality permeates your product (had better).

When a customer decides to purchase your product, they satisfy a want. The customer for all intents and purposes, purchases value.

Allow me to explain. My teenage son doesn’t wear just any old sneaker. Oh no! It has to be a teen fashion statement sneaker. For my teenage son, that’s where the value is. He doesn’t care what the sneaker costs. Quality isn’t high on his agenda either.

When considering my older son, he's a bit different. Especially now, he considers himself more mature. My older son has moved beyond teen fashion.

He now looks for quality, good price, a decent fit, you see where I’m going. That teen sneaker holds absolutely no value to him.

But how would you the business owner, know that about these two men?

Would you guess that? A bit risky wouldn’t you think?

No, you must ask questions! Yes, get feedback from your customers. Feel them out. Ask them questions?

Do you know whether you're delivering value? If you don't, you should. After all, they are your customers.

Are You Thinking About Starting A Business From Home

Are you thinking about starting a business from home? Home businesses have been one of the biggest growth industries in the last decade. There are thousands of new business owners going online to make money everyday.

No matter what type of business product or service you choose to participate in, there is one and only one starting point.

The only place to be starting your new home business is in your mind. Ask yourself this "Do I have the right mindset to run a home business/"

It is imperative for you to know the Who, What, Where, When and Why's when considering starting up a home based business. No matter what type of venture you may choose, if you cannot answer the five W's you will greatly hinder your chances of success dramatically.

Let's take a look at the five W's individually.

WHO. Who are you doing this for? Is it for personal gain and notoriety, family obligations or maybe to help a friend in need. If you do not clearly know and understand who you are doing this for, you will have a very difficult time maintaining the motivation to achieve the level of success you desire.

WHAT. Do you clearly know what is you that want to achieve? Is it to attain financial independence? Contributing to your retirement plans? Is it to put a down payment on a new house? Do you want to be able to quit your job, or do you just want to be able to purchase those big ticket items you have always yearned for?

It is crucial to know exactly what it is you wish to achieve. You have to be able to close your eyes and picture in your mind, down to the finest detail, what your life would be like once you achieve success. If you don't truly know what it is that you want, it is almost guaranteed that you are not going to get it.

Achieving success comes from knowing precisely what it is you want. Then next step is to set goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time based, better known as S.M.A.R.T. goals. To learn more about goal setting just do a quick search on your favorite search engine, there is a great deal of information available.

WHERE. Research is the key here. There are countless ways and places to set up a home business on the internet. What is most important here is to keep a level head and an open mind while doing your research to determine your chosen field.

Sales pages are finely tuned to trigger impulses and emotions to get you to buy now, this very second. Fight those urges to click that order button, step away from your computer for a moment if you have to.

Take the time to actually study what is being offered. How much is it going to cost you? Is it a one off, monthly or yearly cost? What is the actual product or service that you are receiving, and is there something else out there that may better serve your needs.

It is highly recommended that you never hit the order button on your first visit. Take a look around and do some comparison shopping, or window shopping if you will. If the original offer was the best you can always return and purchase at a later time.

A quick example. Let's say you find that perfect ebook with resale rights and you just have to have it, and the cost is $97.00. Try this out first. Type the ebook's title into your favorite search engine. You may be pleasantly surprised to find the exact same title for as little as $5.00 maybe even less with the same resale rights. Remember that the first offer you see may not always be the best in value for your dollar. The internet is extremely competitive.

WHEN. Knowing when to launch your business is where many marketers fall short. Ensure that your business is completely ready to go. Test everything before your launch. Check your webpages for loading time, grammar and spelling. Do all the pages and links work properly? Test your newsletter. Does your autoresponder send the messages when they are supposed to go out? Are the messages formatted correctly? Do those links work? Is the payment and delivery system perfect?

When setting up your business try to keep your mindset as if you were the customer. Would you purchase this product or service? Would you subscribe to this newsletter? Is there value being offered? What makes this product or service stand out from the rest? Until you can answer these questions with conclusive statements, you are not ready to launch.

Always keep in your mind, your name and reputation are always at stake. Online purchasers have very little tolerance when things go wrong.

Studies have shown that you usually have thirty seconds or less to grab your visitors attention. If there is nothing of great value, your potential customer will simply move on and probably never come back. Be completely ready when launch time comes. On the internet first impressions are paramount.

WHY. One of the most important questions to ask. Why am I building this business? Why will my customers buy from me? Why is this the best product? Why did I choose this web hosting company? Being able to answer any and every possible question about your business will give you the knowledge and the tools to build your website as well as your compelling sales pages to perfection.

Asking yourself why will clearly give you the right answers to provide your future subscribers and customers before they need to ask.

Keeping the five W's in your mind throughout the planning, preparation, testing and launch phases of your business will provide you with the greatest chances for success. You owe it to yourself and to your potential subscribers and customers.
